Choose a table shape that explains the room

A round table can describe a compact dining area; a rectangular table may follow the length of a larger room. The image should leave believable space for chairs and access to nearby doors. AI uses visual cues rather than measured dimensions, so check the table against the actual room before treating a layout as a purchase plan.

Keep open-plan rooms visually connected

When the dining area shares a photo with the living room or kitchen, choose furniture colours and materials that work together. Repeat one or two accents rather than filling every zone with competing objects. Keep the same original reference when trying another style. For a whole property, save related room versions in one workspace and select a consistent final set.

Review the details around the table

Count the chairs and inspect their legs, the edge of the table, the rug and the shadows. A chair should not intersect a wall or block the only passage into the kitchen. A new hanging light in a redesign is a visual idea; strict virtual staging should preserve existing fixed lighting and architecture. Avoid hiding a fireplace or built-in cabinet behind furniture.

Photograph the dining area before styling

Include enough floor to show where the table will stand and enough wall to understand the boundaries. Use an empty room for Stage and a furnished room for Redesign. In a shared living-dining space, choose the room type that describes the main area of the photograph, then inspect the adjoining zone for unwanted changes.

Questions before you start

Can it tell me how many dining chairs will fit?

The image can suggest an arrangement, but it cannot establish safe or comfortable clearances from a photograph. Measure the table, chairs and circulation space separately.

Can I use the same style in a living and dining room?

Yes. Choose the same furniture style for both photos and compare the results together in the property workspace. AI can still vary individual furniture pieces.
